5 out of 5 stars One of the best books I've ever read!   May 24, 2008

After reading Chelsea's first book "My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands" I could not wait to read this one. I truly loved her first book, but she really outdone herself with this one. I laughed out loud at least twenty times while reading it. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good laugh. Chelsea Handler is not only a great comedian, but a wonderful author! I hope she writes another book soon. I will be first in line to buy it!!!

5 out of 5 stars for a good heartfelt laugh   August 2, 2008

Though as candid and brilliantly inappropriate as her first collection of essays, 'Vodka' reaches past points of 'horizontal life' to focus more on love, family, and friendship. The end product is a rather remarkable collection of stories that are astoundinly funny, yet surprisingly heartfelt. Handler writes with a sincerity that cushions her bluntness. Wheather reading about being kicked half naked out of a London restauraunt, love scorn Peekapoos, or being dry-humped by an angry asian masseause, its certain you'll be in for laughs the whole way through. By the end of the collection, you'll realize the situations are only half the story. The real story is who is by your side to share them with.

5 out of 5 stars Easy feel good read   May 28, 2008

This was so funny. But more than that, it left me feeling good about life. Rarely do you find books that leave you happy after you have been so thoroughly entertained. This would be an excellent book for giftgiving.

Loved this book! I laughed out loud. I think Handler is only mildly amusing on t.v., but I loved reading her book. She is crazy and funny. A fun quick read.

5 out of 5 stars everything I expected and more   July 28, 2008

I am a faithful Chelsea Lately watcher and purchased her book as soon as I found out about it. She is just as funny in print as on TV, I can even picture her facial expressions. I can't wait for the next one.
