Gorgeous pumps, but a bit impractical April 5, 2008 If you enjoy finding colorful shoes to wear, this one will be a great addition to your collection. However, there are a few problems that you should note when wearing the soft suede intense color of this shoe. Wearing light stockings, socks, or pantyhose on your feet will surprise those socks right off you after you notice the lovely raspberry dye transferring to those stockings. After washing, the dye could not be removed either. The pair is beautiful when looking down at your feet or in the mirror; however, they are also somewhat uncomfortable too. Sizing was a problem for me in order to keep them from slipping when I walked. I went a half-size smaller to get the proper fit, but caused that tight feeling across the instep. While my instep was tightly held in place, I still had a bit of slippage until my foot warmed the shoe up enough (perhaps the stockings were the problem here). Although the suede is a great asset to this shoe's appearance, giving it that gentle feminine look, I will not be able to wear it unless I am indoors or it is a perfectly dry day outside. I would imagine that after the stocking test, any bit of moisture will cause the dye to change color or cause a problem by stepping into a small amount of rain water. I live in the Pac. N.W.-!! Look out for those rain puddles-!!! Otherwise, the shoe is uniquely wrapped, beautifully made, and I'm sure has Jessica Simpson's smile of approval at this price.
Way too wide March 28, 2008 I hate this shoe. Even with my wide feet, this shoe is far too wide. The criss-cross front gapes open -- it doesn't lay flat across my foot. I am returning it.
Poor fit June 21, 2008 This shoe is very cute, but it has a very strange fit -- tight toe and loose heel. The straps at the toe are tight, but they gape open rather than lay flat across the foot. And, even with heel pads that I stuck inside the back of the shoe, my heels slip out with almost every step. And that was the first time I wore them -- they weren't even stretched out yet. If I hadn't already worn them, I would have returned them.
